Uganda

Unlike our other outfitters, we have not visited or hunted with our Ugandan outfitter yet. However, Uganda is such an exciting destination, we have decided to go ahead and offer hunts there. Craig Boddington has hunted with them and recommends them and that is good enough for us. We will be visiting them next season.

Hunting season in Uganda runs from January thru November. Although generally equatorial, Uganda's climate is not uniform as the elevation varies, averaging 3600'. Temperatures rarely rise above 90F during the day or drop below 40F at night. Most of the rain falls in May, August and November. The rest of the year is drier with occasional showers.

Several areas are hunted, totaling more than 6.25 million acres. Ajai Wildlife Reserve is the smallest (425,000 acres) and is situated on the western bank of the Nile River. Its habitat is hilly with both light and dense savannah forests. Teddy Roosevelt and his son Kermit hunted here on their famous 1909 safari. The President and Kermit shot 9 Rhino in the area and there is still a small settlement on the site of their camp called Rhino Camp.

Hi,
My name is Doyle Bruner. I absolutely love to hunt and there is no place like Africa to do it. My first trip in 1996, which took two
years to plan, was one of the high points in my life. It was to be a "trip of a lifetime"!! I have been back on 16 safaris since then. Most of them are to check out new locations so I can offer you the best value for your dollar. I only book for outfitters that promote fair-chase, respect the environment and give great service. I can even make the arrangements for your airline tickets, and pre or post safari tours to such places as Victoria Falls.

My desire is to see that you have just as spectacular an experience as I had on that first safari. I will try to match you to the PH, country   and type safari that best suits you. All my trips are tailored for you. Email me Doyle@KhoisanAdventures.com or give me a call at 850-582-1983 and let's discuss your options.

Thanks for visiting my website.
Sincerely,
Doyle Bruner
